Summary
Main duties will be to complete technical checks and repairs on yachts in preparation for charter, as well as provide prompt and courteous technical service to charter guests while on their sailing vacation.
Where you will be based:
- This is a full time, shore based role, located at our base in Road Town, Tortola - the heart of the beautiful British Virgin Islands. This is the sailing capital of the world.

What you will be doing
- Aid charter guests in need of technical service - including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
- Document technical work done on yachts.
- Fixing all electrical, mechanical, refrigeration and Air Conditioning issues.
- Repair all plumbing including domestic water supply, sewage waste lines, clogged heads and holding tanks lines.
- When interacting with guests, keep in mind the company’s policy of 100% guest satisfaction, guaranteed timing and efficiency.
- Keep chase call boats and truck in a clean and safe condition in keeping with Company safety policy.
- Keep boats and truck fuel supply always topped off
What we are looking for
- Experience maintaining diesel engines and 2 & 4 stroke outboard engines
- Working knowledge of 12v DC and 120v AC electrical systems
- An understanding of marine plumbing systems
- Marine Air conditioning and marine refrigeration troubleshooting and repair
- Experience working with sailing yachts or in the marine industry
- Practically minded, a good fault finder, with the proactive attitude to solve problems
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Experience in a customer facing position
- A flexible working approach, able to meet operational demands in terms of duties and working hours
- Well organised and able to prioritise effectively
- Accept and carry out instruction with minimal need of supervision
- Self-motivated, friendly, and professional
