What you will be doing:
- In this role, you will be the front face of the company.
- You will provide excellent customer service by briefing customers and making sure they are comfortable operating the boat and ready to leave the docks.
- You will organize a dock plan, move boats, refuel boats, debrief customers, and help with chase calls.
- When you are not interacting with guests, you will enjoy creating content for boat operation manuals, how-to videos, and promotional content.
During your training period:
- You will quickly develop a solid understanding of various yacht systems and their operation, and related common troubleshooting.
- Photographing boat systems and preparing boat instructional manuals.
- Checking that yachts are prepped and ready for charter.
- Learn to move boats on and off docks safely without incidents.
After completion of your training:
- Once you develop a strong understanding of the fleet, you will independently deliver briefs for charter starts and debriefs clients on their experience of the yacht upon their return.
- Take a lead on the creation of yacht briefing videos and boat operations manuals to help customers understand the systems and equipment on board.
When we don’t have charters:
- Assist with hurricanising the fleet in off season and taking them to safe storage.
- Assist with base projects as required by the Operations Manager.
What we are looking for:
- Passion for sailing and the sailing lifestyle.
- RYA qualifications or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Someone who wants a full-time, year-round position.
- Must be able to take high quality photos and video, create video content for YouTube.
- A technical mind to understand boat systems and their operations.
- Great communication skills to deliver engaging boat briefs to customers.
